Lady Antebellum Concert

A few weeks ago Jared surprised me with tickets to the Lady Antebellum concert they are one of my favorite bands. I was so excited! I wanted to get there super early so we could get right by the stage, we had the general admission tickets which is basically the part by the stage where you stand. We got there a little later than I was wanting so I was so worried we wouldn't get close at all. When we got in, there wasn't that many people and we walked all the way to the front of the stage there was one person in front of me, I couldn't believe how close we got! So there was five minutes before the concert was about to start and all of a sudden a lady and her son (he was about my age) came and stood right in front of me, I said "Umm excuse me I don't think so you need to move!" she replied "No we are not moving". I said well we have been here for over an hour and you need to move" she wouldn't budge and I knew she wasn't going to so I squeezed right in front of her and the girl in the front I was uncomfortably close to both of them and said "Well then I am not moving!!" So she finally moved back behind us. Afterwards I was looking around to see if I made a big scene and everyone was giving me the nod of approval. The rest of the concert not one person tried to get in front of us, I like to think it's cause they knew they wouldn't get away with it:) The concert was amazing and they are so good live!! Because we were so close the camera for the jumbo screen came right by me so I was on the screen like 10 times haha Here are some pictures of the concert and a video of them singing "Just a Kiss" enjoy:)

Jared's Graduation

Wow it really has been a long time since I updated our blog. I have wanted to update it, but I forgot my username and password and I finally got it so here I am. Well in May Jared graduated from ASU with his degree in Accounting. I am so proud of him and all his hard work he has put in to accomplish this! I also threw him a little graduation party as well. I got a red velvet cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. It is one of the best cakes ever! Here are some of the pictures from the events.

Easter Pageant

This year we had the privilege of attending the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple. We took our good friends Jenna and Jason this was there first time there. Kurt and Carli and cute little Julianne came too. We had awesome seats we had front and center about 13 rows back. It was a great way to get into the Easter spirit. In October I had my 25th birthday so we went to Cheesecake factory with some friends to celebrate. Then we went back to our apartment to play games. We played one of our favorite games The Games of Things we had some good laughs. Thanks to all my friends and my wonderful husband that made my birthday special.

Katie's Wedding

A few weeks ago one of my best friends Katie got married. It was such a beautiful wedding and reception. The reception was in her parents backyard and she had a sit down dinner. She had her brothers band playing music the entire night. It was one of the funnest receptions I have ever been to and it was decorated so cute! It was so fun to see and visit with friends from high school. Katie looked so gorgeous and couldn't of asked for a better night the weather was so nice. Road Trip

In September Jared and I went to Vegas with my family(minus my mom she had a choir concert) to go see one of our favorite bands Collective Soul perform. We had such a blast! My dad found a couple of places on the TV show Man Vs. Food that he wanted to go to so we went on what we called our Man Vs. Food tour in Las Vegas. The first place we went to was called Hot N' Juicy Crawfish they bring out the crawfish in these bags and they put different flavors in with the crawfish. I was a little hesitant at first, but then I decided I wanted to be adventurous so I tried it. It wasn't that bad actually the worst part is having to take it apart to get the meat out. Then the next day we went to another place they featured on Man Vs. Food called Hash House a Go Go this was the best breakfast place I have ever been to, it was amazing! I wish we had on here in AZ. Then we went to the aquarium at Mandalay bay after that my cute niece and nephew loved it and so did we! I am so interested in all the kinds of fish and creatures under the sea. That night we went to the concert it was an awesome concert. I wish my Mom could of been there to enjoy this wonderful trip with us we had such a great time!!

Karaoke

Wow I haven't blogged for a while this post is long over due, but I wanted to write it down for journal purposes. Any way a couple of months ago my cousin Jen came into town. So my other cousin Krystal, Jen and I all went to Jimmy's of Chicago to karaoke. We had so much fun! Our first song we sang together was Single Ladies I only knew the chorus and let's just say it was a disaster, but we redeemed ourselves when we sang Wannabe by the Spice girls:) We each got to sing a couple of songs. It was interesting to see all the people that came to sing, there even was an old man with a walker. At one point one of the guys there came up to Krystal to tell her the new rule at Jimmy's... That if three hot married girls come there we have to bring at least one single girl for them. Did I mention the guy that told us this was like forty. We had so much fun! I can't wait to go again!

Over Memorial weekend we went to California and stayed with my cousin Jen and her husband Andy. We went to Huntington Beach while we were there the boys boogie board, we tossed the Frisbee around, and even made burgers on the beach we had quite the set up. Jared and I went to the Getty Museum one day while we were there. They had a Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit there it was really cool they had a ton of his manuscripts on display. We even got to see some paintings by Monet and Van Gogh. It's crazy how vivid the colors are it's amazing. I loved all of the furniture too. We had a great time and Jen and Andy were the perfect hosts! Thanks again for having us!

A few weeks ago my brother Zach got to play his championship basketball game at U.S. Airways Arena. It was so cool watching him play in that big stadium where the likes of Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire, and many other great NBA players have played. My Uncle Todd, Krystal, Jason, and their kids all came to support him. We had so much fun and Zach did so great he really is a great athlete! I made him a sign and Emi( Krystal's daughter) asked me what it said, and I told her it says "Go Zach!" She corrected me by saying "no it actually says Go Zach" (pronouncing the the ch sound) we thought that was pretty funny so that's his little nickname now:) After his game we went to In N' Out for dinner and then to Yogurtland for dessert. It was our first time to Yogurtland and we were highly impressed. I just wish it was closer so I could go more, but maybe that's a good thing actually.

This has been me since Monday with no signs of getting better (well at least it seems that way). I did go to the doctor on Wednesday and I have the flu:( at least I am not throwing up, how's that for a visual. Unfortunately it looks like I will be sick the entire weekend as well. I have watched several movies, tons of TV, and enough reality shows to last a lifetime. So whats a girl to do, I'm thinking I will turn to video games, Mario Brothers to be exact. Maybe that will keep me entertained all weekend. Jared has been an excellent nurse almost too good though. He constantly reminds me to take my medicine and vitamin C and you know what I am sick of taking medicine that's all I do! But I do end up taking it the vitamin C on the other hand I don't I know I should, but it is so gross and when you already don't feel like eating it's the last thing you want to drink. Hopefully I will be good as new on Monday to go to work! Wish me luck.

So I haven't blog for what seems like forever, in fact I haven't even been on the computer very much the last two weeks. Well any way time to play catch up. Jared and I celebrated our birthday's. Mine was October 28th and Jared's was October 30th. For my birthday we went with my family to Cheesecake Factory like always. It was absolutely amazing. Then for Jared's birthday we went to Texas Roadhouse. We had such a great time with our families. Thank you guys for our awesome gifts we love them SO much! New Moon prescreening!

So I don't know about you, but I can not wait to see this movie! It looks SO good! Well I was going to go to the midnight showing, but my work is having a fundraiser and they rented out a theater and the screening is going to be even before the midnight showing. It is on Nov. 19th at 7:30p.m. So for those of you who are interested in helping out a good cause and seeing New Moon even before it is out please let me know. Tickets are $20 a person and it is at the Harkins Theater on Germann and Gilbert. So tonight my good friend Carli and I had a girls night and went to dinner and then to Anthropologie. We had so much fun I love hanging out with her! Man do I wish I could win a shopping spree there. I found a million things I want to get. I want to get this entertainment center that I found a really good deal on(not from Anthro) However I want to change the knobs to make it more my style and I found some super cute ones at Anthro. I found some really cute accessories. They have these great classic books like Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, and Charles Dickens that are rebound and are so cute! They would look perfect in my entertainment center! I also found a cute mercury glass candle holder that I thought would be cute with some fake flowers in it. Well here are the pictures of the items hopefully I can make my dream a reality:)

New hobby?

So maybe I have been watching too much project runway, but I have decided that I want to learn how to sew. It is such a good talent to have. Plus I really want to be able to make things for my house someday and it would be a lot cheaper. Think of all the things I could make drapes, pillows, bedding, shower curtains, skirts(I never can find any long enough) My mom is a really good seamstress she use to make a lot of her clothes. I think it would be cool if someday I could make clothes, but for now I would settle for a simple blanket or even a cute pencil skirt. Our ward has a sewing club so I could start by learning the basics there. I guess I need to get a sewing machine well I do have a birthday coming up..... hint hint:)

Yesterday Jared surprised me with a wonderful gift. He got me the new I Pod Shuffle! It will be so good to use at the gym and to go running with. It has a clip so you can just clip it on where ever you want. The controls are on the headphones so it's convenient when you want to turn it up or change the song. It is also smaller than a key. He got me the pink one, and I can't wait to load my songs on it. Oh and he got me a manicure and pedicure kit too. Thanks so much Babe you are the best!

NYC Day 5

Finally the last day of our trip. Sorry it has taken me so long in between postsI has just been so buys. So on our last day we pretty much just relaxed, slept in, went to lunch, then went to the airport to catch our flight. We wanted one relaxing day since the whole trip was pretty much go, go, go. We had such a great time, it was such an amazing trip and had so much fun! Hope you enjoyed looking at all our millions of pictures. Don't worry this one only has a few. NYC Day 4

So here is the fourth day(don't worry I am almost done) I know there are tons of pictures but trust me these aren't even half of them. I think this was my favorite wee did lots of different fun things. So beware there are a ton of pictures! First thing we did is go to the Statue of Liberty. I absolutely loved going and seeing this, there is something so special about it. You can't but help and think of this lady when you think of New York, well at least I can't. Then after that we went to Wall Street, New York Stock Exchange, and Ground Zero. Then we took the subway to Brooklyn to go to one of our favorite pizza places Grimaldi's. It is the original one and is right under the Brooklyn Bridge. The subway that takes you there goes under the water. Well under the ground under the water, ears were popping the entire time. Then after lunch we went to Washington Square park where the arch from I am Legend is. It is so beautiful and looks like the one in Paris. We then went the Manhattan Temple on our way to The American Museum of Natural History. The museum is right by Central Park so we went there and relaxed, walked around, and saw Strawberry Fields(a memorial to John Lennon.) Enough of me talking, hope you enjoy all the pictures.

NYC day 3

Sorry it has taken me forever to post the next day. I have been crazy busy. Any way on the third day it was our anniversary. We took that same double decker tour bus, but went downtown now. We saw lots of things like the garment district, Wall street, China town, The United Nations, Parson's school of design where Project Runway is shot. Then we got off at Rockefeller center and saw where the today show is filmed, Radio City, and the NBC store. In Rockafellar center they have an amazing Anthropologie. It was huge and I loved all the displays. We had lunch then headed back to our hotel for a little bit before dinner. Before dinner we went down to Tribeca and SoHo and shopped. Then we went to this place called Tribeca Grill. It was SO good! Then we rode the Subway home. It was a great day! Enjoy the pictures.

NYC day 2

For our second day in New York we took one of those double decker tour buses and went uptown to Park Avenue, Harlem, and Central Park. We then got off by 5th Ave for some shopping. We went to tons of stores we first went to the Apple store which was HUGE and the entrance was so cool you had to go downstairs it was all underground. We went to FAO Schwartz and got to see the big piano that was on Big. Oh don't worry it was only $250,000 to purchase one just like it. Then we went to other stores like H&M, Zara and of course all the expensive ones that are just fun to look through like Bergdorf Goodman. On our way to Serendipity we found this super cute candy store called Dylan's Candy Bar it is three stories and is amazing. Then off to lunch at Serendipity which was amazing! I didn't think their food would be that good, and of course the frrrrozen hot chocolate was fantastic. I know it sounds like an oxymoron, but once you have it, it makes perfect sense. It really does taste like frozen hot chocolate. We went back to our hotel to relax for a bit then off to dinner and the Empire State building. Man that elevator is so fast your ears pop like crazy. When you get to the 80th floor you have to switch to another elevator to get to the 86th floor. The line was long and we were like ah only 6 more floors we can just use the stairs. Sounds like a good idea right? Well it wasn't, the stairs are very steep and from walking all day our legs were tired. The view was absolutely amazing!

NYC day 1

We got to New York around 6:00pm so we went to our hotel to check in and then went to go get something to eat. Our hotel was right around the corner from time square so after dinner we went and walked around there. Where they have Good Morning America Ciara was performing and we could see her from outside so I got some pictures. Time square is a lot different than I remember. There are all these people dressed as characters to get your picture with them, but they are all dirty and gross. It was really weird. That's about all we did on the first day I will post the other days like this. I took a million pictures so I figured this would be the best way to post it. Oh and did I mention that our hotel was right next to a scientology center, church whatever you call it. Wish I could say I saw Tom Cruise there, but I didn't.

You can't just read the title of this post you have to sing it!! Well that's at least what I do when I read it:) I am finally packed and all ready for NYC. All week I have been stressing out about getting packed and finishing every thing that needs to be done before we leave. Now I can finally just enjoy myself. It seems so surreal that in less than 24 hours we will be there. I can't wait I will share all the fun details when we return.

Anniversary trip

In exactly one week from today we will be in New York City! Jared and I are going for our 3rd anniversary. We are so excited! I absolutely love New York, I have been there once and Jared has never been. I just love the vibe of the big city and the architecture, some of my favorite buildings are there. I can't believe we have been married for 3 years. It has been an amazing three years and what better way to celebrate than a trip for two to New York City!

Wicked

We had the pleasure of going and seeing Wicked at the Gammage Theatre. Jared's parents took us along with Jakelle and Josh. WOW, that show is amazing! For those of you who haven't seen it I recommend it. It was so cleverly written and was really funny too. Toss toss (for those of you who have seen know what I'm talking about) We had such a great time! Thanks Lynn and Jana for taking us we had such a blast!

For the Fourth of July this year we went to Mesa Country Club with Jared's family and my family. We had so much fun! I love when our families do stuff all together we always have such a good time. It is really nice to go to the country club for the fourth because it's not crowded, they have good food, and the fire works are really good too.

Wow has it really been almost 2 months since my last update. I really have been slacking. Well time to play catch up now. At the beginning of June we went to Disney World with Jared's family. We had such a blast! That place is HUGE! We didn't think we would have time for all of it, but we did and we even could relax by the pool. One of my favorite places was the Epcot center. There are a bunch of exhibits of different countries from around the world. At each country they sell stuff from that country and they have restaurants with the country's style of food. They even have people from that country that work there. We got to go to the German and Italian restaurant. It was so good the Italian place had the best desert ever!! We also went to the water parks and at one of them they had the tallest water slide in America. I was so scared to go down it, but I did and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. (Although I did have my eyes closed the entire time.) It was such a fun trip! We had such a great time and didn't want to come back.

On Saturday we went golfing with Josh, Jared's Dad, and his Uncle Richard. The weather was so beautiful. A little cold at some times and it rained on us the last two holes, but other than that beautiful. I had SO much fun and I think I have found my new hobby!

This weekend we went to the Easter Pageant with our friends Kurt, Carli, Shalayne, and Clayton. We got KFC to eat while we waited for it to start. I forgot how good that place is, the biscuits are so good. The pageant was amazing! We are so lucky that we have this every year it really gets you in the mood for Easter. Then after we came to our place and played games. We had such a fun weekend! Thanks guys!

Last week we went to the Suns game to watch Jakelle dance there. I call this post cousins date, because Jared's parents bought us tickets before Josh got home from his mission and they bought Josh an extra one so he could bring a date if he wanted. He didn't really want his first date home to be with his whole family there so he brought our cousin Candace instead. Which I was very glad for because Candace and I have so much fun together. Jakelle and her dance team did a great job I am so proud of her. On a side note she also made Brimhall's cheer team and we are so excited to go watch her cheer she will do great!

Extreme Makeover....Lexi Edition

So before Josh came home from his mission my mother-in-law wanted me to redesign Josh's room. They left for Costa Rica on Sunday and were gone for ten days so that is how long we got to accomplish the goal. It was really fun because she gave me the money and let me do whatever I wanted. We painted the entire room, baseboards and I also refinished all the furniture and got all new hardware for it. Josh loves swords and sports, especially golf and basketball. I really wanted to make this a room he would enjoy so I found this lamp that had a bronzed golfer as the base so that was the inspiration, a golf room. I think it turned out really good and Jared was a huge help. I am glad I had the chance to do this we had so much fun doing it. Below are before and after pictures.

I have always loved New York City. I think it would be so fun to live there. It just has such a cool energy, so different from what I am use to. All the cool restaurants, stores, museums, and I love all the different buildings and architecture. Even though most of the apartments are small I think it would be cool to live in one. One that over looks the city and has tons of windows. That being said here are a few pictures of lofts or apartments that I like and would love to live in some day.

On Saturday we were inviting by our friends Shalayne and Clayton to go to Dave and Busters. We have never been there before and we had so much fun! Jared was so good at the basketball game and they had this fun Trivia game that we played too. P.S. I beat Jared at the racing game. Twice.

New Year's Eve

For New Year's Eve we were invited over to my Aunt Kelli and Uncle Todd's house. My parents, Zach, Krystal, Jason and their kids, Uncle Joe and his date Zola were all there. At dinner we had 3 different tables, the kids sat at this little table, Jared, Krystal, Jason, and I sat at the kitchen table, and our parents sat at the dinning table. It wasn't assigned that is just how it worked out. We joked that the kids were the 8:00 bed time table, we were the 12:00 and our parents were the 10:00. We played lots of fun games. One of them was the Seinfeld Scene It which if any of you like Seinfeld I highly recommend it, it is so much fun! Then we rocked out until midnight with Rock Band. After midnight for some reason we were very picture happy and by we I mean Krystal and me. We even got a tripod and took a couple of group shots. So beware there are tons of pictures and this isn't even half of them. We had so much fun, thanks Todd and Kelli for inviting us. I think we need to do a rematch with the Seinfeld Scene It so the girls can redeem ourselves.

This year for Christmas Eve we went to my parents house for dinner with my Dad's side of the family. My Uncle Todd smoked a turkey and it was so yummy. Even Santa came and visited. Which in reality was Uncle Joe. He did a great job he even had a fake nose that he wore. We all couldn't stop laughing because it kept falling off. He even fouled my Aunt Tina, after he left she said,"Jeff you knew that guy right?" and we all we like yeah that was Joe. Emi (my cousin Krystal's daughter) was adorable, as soon as Santa gave her a gift she said "Thank you Santa" and gave him a big hug. All in all it was a great night.

So Jared's little widget has turned into a couch potato does that give you a clue on what he has been doing. If you haven't noticed Jared's little Widget on the right hand corner of our blog it has been tracking when he runs. At the beginning when he was running his little guy was all motivated, running and doing toe touches and everything. Well since he hasn't ran for a while he is just sitting playing nintendo and paddleball. It says some pretty funny stuff and was making Jared and I laugh! I know I have become a couch potato I am going to try to go run tomorrow morning. Let's see if that really happens ha ha.

On Monday we were over at the Westergard's and made Ginger Bread houses. It was so much fun! I think this is the best Ginger Bread house I have ever made! I ate more candy that night then most people do the whole Holiday season. It didn't help that Jana made the good frosting to put on our house because it would get on my hands and I would lick it off. I hate how the frosting that comes with it is so gross, but I guess that it is easier to hold up the houses with. Thanks again guys for such a fun night! We love you!

Suns Game

Last night my cousin Krystal and her husband Jason invited Jared and me to the Suns Game. We had such a great time with them! Krystal's grandpa has season tickets and the seats are fantastic. Also with the season tickets we get to eat dinner at the Toyota Club and at half time you get all the popcorn, drinks, and brownies you want (well at least until they run out). Thanks again Krystal and Jason for inviting us we had a blast!!

Oreo Truffles

Jared and I went to a dinner party on Friday and I was suppose to make a dessert. I got this recipe from my friend Ashley and they were a huge hit. They are super easy and very delicious. I thought I would share it with you guys. I hope you enjoy! Thanks again Ash for the recipe!

Oreo Truffles

1 package oreo cookies (divided… use cookie including the cream center)
1 8oz. package cream cheese (softened)
white chocolate bark

1. Finely crush 7 cookies in a food processor or place them in a ziploc bag and crush into a fine consistency. Reserve for later.
2. Crush remaining cookies and stir in softened cream cheese. Use the back of a large spoon to help mash the two together.
3. Roll the mixture into 1" balls and place on wax paper covered cookie sheet.
4. Melt chocolate as directed on the package and then dip balls into chocolate, tap off extra and set aside on wax paper covered cookie sheet to dry. You can sprinkle the tops with the 7 crushed cookies for decoration.
5. Once dry, refrigerate and enjoy!

Makes about 36 truffles.

It helps to freeze the uncoated balls for a few minutes to keep the mixture from starting to fall apart in the melted chocolate. If this becomes a problem, dip them in the chocolate, let dry and then dip again. Also, I would recommend dipping them in chocolate then letting the dry then dipping them again so you have extra chocolate. They are good either way though.

On Tuesday it was my birthday so my parents took us to Outback for dinner. It was so good! Then we came back to my parents house and had an ice cream cake, mint chocolate chip. Thanks Mom, Dad, and Zach for such a great time and the great cards and gift. Jared's birthday was on Thursday and since his mom was out of town and Jakelle had dance till 8:00 Jared's dad took Jared and I to Texas Road House. We had a great time, Jared had to ride the bull he kept making weird faces when I was trying to take a picture of him then I finally got a good one. We had such and awesome week and probably gained 10 pounds with all the eating we did and Halloween sure didn't help. Thanks everyone for making our birthdays so good.

To celebrate Jared and mines birthday Jared's parents treated us to dinner on Monday. We went to The Cheesecake factory, which was SO yummy! Our waitress was hilarious she sounded like she should be a princess at Disneyland. As soon as she left our table Jared said "Um yes I would like to have Snow White with the seven dwarfs" It was pretty funny, maybe you just had to be there. Then we came back and carved pumpkins. Thanks so much Mom, Dad, and Jakelle for our gifts and a great night! We had so much fun and love you tons!!

Tag! 2 - 7 Random/and or Wierd Facts about Yours Truely

1. At night I have to have my covers tucked just right under the bed. I can't have it too loose because I hate the extra fabric hanging and it can't be too tight I have to be able to move around. Jared thinks I am so weird especially because his side always is untucked by the morning so I make him tuck it under the bed each night. Good thing I have a great husband that embraces my weird corks and just laughs at me.

2. I am obsessed with skin care products. I am always looking for new skin care products. They have to have SPF in them and I love the anti-wrinkle ones. I just want good skin when I am older nothing is wrong with that.

3. Can't have my foods touch. When I have a plate of food I hate when my foods touch like the salad and the meat for example. I will get an extra plate to avoid it if I have to.

4. I don't know what makes me think of this one, but my cousins should get a kick out of it. When we were younger and at my Granny's house we would fill her bottles up with Pepsi and pretend we were babies, we also liked to pretend like we were orphans. Now don't worry this wasn't like last year we were around six or sevenish I think.

5. I secretly want to be Sydney Bristow from the show Alias. Jared and I have been watching the seasons and are obsessed. I sometimes walk around pretending to be a secret agent, it's not as weird as it sounds(at least I tell myself that) I just become very aware of my surroundings and if an intruder tries to hurt me I am ready to kick there butt. And somehow I think I know karate.

6. I am such a night owl. I love to stay up late, and I mean late like 1:00. It is good that I don't have to be to work till 11:00 because when I have to wake up early I have to go to bed early, at my other job I was in bed by 10:30 if not sooner. I guess I better enjoy this while I can because once I have kids I know that will change.

When we moved in this wall was already blue and matches really well, crazy huh. However I have a blue I like better picked out and I want to paint the entire room instead of just an accent wall. This past weekend we stayed with my cute sister-in-law JaKelle while my in-laws went to Chicago for their Anniversary. We had so much fun! On Friday we went to the Diamondbacks game. It was a really good game. JaKelle and I were taking a picture of us when we saw people looking at us and everyone was getting loud. So we looked up to find a foul ball coming our way. We look up at it for a while then we realize it was probably going to hit us so then we finally ducked. It hit right behind us and rolled under our chair. So needless to say we got a foul ball!

Last Wednesday was my good friend Lindsey's bridal shower. We had so much fun! Jessi and I met up at Someburros before for dinner then headed over there. We played lots of fun and embarrassing if you go to Lindsey's blog you will know what I am talking about. Any way we had lots of fun and I will miss Lindsey now that she will be living in California. Yogurberry

There is this yogurt place by us called Yogurberry and it is the BEST yogurt I have ever had!! It's kinda like Pink Berry or Spoon Me. Except what is better about it to me, is that the actual yogurt comes in flavors like peach, raspberry, mango and so on unlike at Spoon Me. We have been a few times since we have moved here. In these pictures we went with our good friends Candice and Troy. So if any of you are by the San Tan Mall check it out! Katie I will have to take you I know you will LOVE it!

So this past weekend Jared and I went with my family to Las Vegas. We went to go see one of our favorite bands Collective Soul in concert. We had so much fun! The concert was on Friday night and was amazing! I love seeing all the people that go to concerts. Jared thinks I need focus more on the concert than the weirdo's around us. But I can't help it, there was this guy in a cowboy that had some killer dance moves. Then there is the make-out couple you know the one that's at every concert. This was the worst I have ever seen they were all over each other the whole time and what drove me crazy is they were closer than us and not even paying attention. I wanted to hose them off of each other it made me sick! Then on Saturday we went to the New York, New York hotel which is Zach's favorite because he loves the roller coaster. My mom and I didn't go on the roller coaster so we played Wack-a-mole and Dance Dance Revolution. Then we went to the Coke Factory for a cherry coke float. Over all it was a great trip. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us we had a blast!

At one point this vase had a real plant in it that someone gave me. It lasted pretty long, but then eventually died. It was sitting on our table for a while empty then I just ended up buying some artificial flowers for it that I thought were cute. The green ones were suppose to go in something else, but I I didn't end up buying enough of the cream and brown ones. I didn't want to go buy new ones so I just stuffed them all in there together. I didn't want it took look too arranged and I liked how it turned out. Once I have more of my home done I will post pictures so this is just a sneak peak.

On Sunday we celebrated our 2nd anniversary. I can't believe it has already been two years. I guess the saying is true, "time flies when your having fun." So to celebrate it Jared took me to a resort in Phoenix. We had so much fun! They have a water park there with water slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool. The lazy river was our favorite. Well us being the smart people we are forgot to put sunscreen on, let me rephrase that, didn't think we needed to. So needless to say got burnt. Luckily we did put it on our faces I'm good about that, but my chest and shoulders got burnt and Jared's back was so burnt it had little blisters. Sound familiar Chelsea:) Any way it was a very relaxing weekend between laying by the pool drinking pina colada's and watching movies in our hotel room. Thanks Jared for a great weekend it couldn't of been more perfect you're the best!!

Last night my friends from work organized a going away party for me since we are moving. We went to The Cheesecake Factory it was so yummy! I am going to miss them SO much. I love them all and am going to hate not talking to them everyday. They gave me a gift card to Nordstrom's so after dinner some of us went shopping! Thanks guys for everything it was so much fun!

Girls Night Out

My friend Chelsea and I went shopping last Friday and went and saw Mamma Mia. We had so much fun! I love shopping with Chelsea, but it's bad for our husband because we always want to buy stuff (and usually do) Mamma Mia was really good! A lot better than I thought it would be. It was really funny and the songs were really good. While shopping we found this really cute sign that says Love. We both got one I guess there's one good thing about living in different states:( Thought I would post a picture of it.

Lagoon

Jared was driving me to work the other day and he ended up surprising me and taking me to Lagoon instead. It was so much fun! Lagoon is a small theme park here in Utah. The rides are a lot more fun than I thought. They have a new ride called Wicked it was really fun! Then this one ride called cliff hanger you get soaked. I put a picture of me after it you can't tell from the picture but my shorts were completely wet. It was so hot so it felt good. Thanks Jared for a much needed break from work and a great day!

At my work we are a little short handed and we needed someone to pick up a couple chairs. Since there was no one that could do it my friend at work Chelsea and I went to go pick them up. One problem though we had to take this huge truck! We were really nervous, but everything went good. It was funny though and at this one point I was trying to make this turn and I was going really slow so I wouldn't hit any other cars and everyone was looking at me I know they were all thinking "Great that's all we need, a woman truck driver."

Free Slurpee Day!

So as many of you know that July 11th(7/11) you get free slurpee's from 7/11. My friend Chelsea and I went to go get them, we thought that it was going to be a regular size slurpee, but instead we got these dinky little cups. Oh well it was free anyway, but before we were even out of the parking lot mine was gone. Here are some pics from the event full trip. So at my work we just got this really cute line for our boutique it's called Lollia. I am in love with it I just got the candle below in the blue for our home. I want to buy all of it though they have handcremes, candles, perfume, and more. They also sell it at Anthropologie check it out if you like it the website is lollialife.com. This weekend was really fun Jared's family was in town so we hung out with them on the 4th and watch fireworks and his Aunt Karin and Uncle Todd's. They live right by Lagoon so we could see them great! Then on Saturday we went to the park with our friends Arianne and Mark and had a BBQ. That was lots of fun we brought our softball stuff so we played catch and hit some balls. And I can't forget to mention how good the food was! Yummy!!
